old lady vs odyssey hitch

I got a pre-owned 2019 odyssey. It came with a trailer hitch but this old lady (yeah, Im talking about myself haha) doesnt know what to do with it. One time I almost hit my shin, convincing me more that I should get rid of it!

What else can it be used for if Im not towing anything anyway? Has anyone tried removing it and sell?

Some people actually sell these hitches since they have decent value, or you could just take it off for a cleaner look.
A hitch can be useful for things like bike rack, cargo carrier, or as a step attachment to make loading the trunk easier. But if its really that much of an annoyance than a benefit (haha), any local shop should be able to take it off

I think just leave it on, it's really useful you know. it can help to pull you out of the mud, attach a bike rack/ trailer, or when you want to sell it in the future, the hitch will be a positive selling point

its sole purpose really is just to tow. You can get rid of it and just store it in the mean time, you never know when you'll need it. But if you want some quick cash then you can sell it too.

Totally get what you mean, if it's mostly just for towing and you don't really use it all that often, keeping it stored away seems pretty smart. But I'm curious, do you think you'll want to hang onto it for the long haul, or would it be better to sell it and move on? Just trying to get a sense of how you feel about it

A buddy of mine ripped his off, sold it for $150, and treated himself to a fancy coffee machine. He claims it's the best deal he ever made, more caffeine and no more bruises on his shins.
