Thinking of Giving Up my '26 Odyssey

My 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring has 195K miles and still runs great! i call it my "sportscar" because we live in it during my kids sports events. i have done some fixes lately liketie rods, brakes and now planning to replace the axles since the boots are leaking a little grease. it still looks awesome with those Acura MDX rims!

With 195k miles im wondering when to stop trusting it for long trips with my family like an 8hr drive to a football tournament. it feels like it only has 40-50k miles and i keep up with all maintenance the timing belts, trans service, etc at the dealer. the transmission shifts fine just a loud whine since day one and when the ECO turns on and off which bugs my wife! should I keep trusting it?? anyone else rocking a van past 200k? i hate to sell it but maybe its time for a new one. any advice??

well If you've kept up with all the maintenance and it still runs strong, I'd say keep rolling with it though, plenty of Odysseys go well past 200K, and if the transmission hasn't given you any trouble by now (aside from the whine), that's a good sign. For long trips, I'd just do the usual pre-trip checks—fluids, tires, brakes, and make sure those new axles are good to go. Maybe carry a small emergency kit just in case. If it still feels solid and reliable, I don't see why you couldn't trust it for another few years. But if you're constantly stressing about a breakdown, maybe upgrading might give you peace of mind.
